He steps out of his rover and rests his back against it. The chill of the metal cuts even through his winter gear. Ah, but he can't say that he minds. Too much. He'll just muse about how he will deal with Reiner. And well, he did promise Kamui a "good thing."
[Yuuto won't have to wait too long at least, though it would have served him right. Reiner has his hands buried in his jacket pockets, his feet crunching through the snow even as he approaches.
He's not sure why he's doing this. Part of him knows he simply needs to cut ties. Annie's right. He can't trust anyone except for himself.
And yet here he is, despite his better judgement. He says nothing, staring Yuuto dead in the eye as he stops a few feet away.]
I'm not that evil. [ He lightly shrugs his shoulders but does soften his expression. ] The Earth wishes for humanity to be destroyed. It chose people to carry out its wish to save itself.
[ He closes his eyes and it almost feels when he opens them that he will be another person. ]
I lied when I said I wanted to be your friend. [ Yuuto opens his eyes then to take a step forward. His hand reaches out to grab the front of the young man's uniform to bring himself that much closer. ] I hope you can learn to forgive me, but you are quite handsome and fascinating.
[ An offered smile before he leans in close to place a quick kiss while he still has the chance to do so. He wonders if this is the "good things" that Kamui had thought he would produce. Ah, well. ]
[Those words are scathing, but the boy shows nothing. He's a wall, insurmountable and unbreakable, staring him down. As his collar is seized, and Reiner unconsciously bristles, ready to defend himself if Yuuto thinks to try anything.]
[He lashes out with a fist, smashing it into the other man's jawline, wanting him to hurt at least for a moment.] Don't fuck with me. [It's a growl, a low, quivering sound that starts in the base of his chest.]
He nearly slams into the ground with the force which he was struck. Lifting his hand, he touches his jaw and feels confident that it isn't broken but will have a rather nasty bruise. Also his head swims from the strike.
Yuuto lifts his head up to smile, though. ] Who said I was?
[He's trembling. With rage, he tells himself, simply and utterly. His chest feels too tight, and he feels like he's three steps away from finding himself completely unhinged.]
Yuuto. [He barks, but the word lacks the bite he wishes it had.] What the fuck are you playing at?
[He feels like he should have never come out here in the first place.]
[ He continues to rub his jaw and is smart enough to know not to walk forward to Reiner. He'd rather not be struck once more. ]
Is it so impossible that someone would care about you? To want to be with you? [ A beat. ] We do have the same mission, even if the reasons are different, but we're more than what the world has made us.
[ Yuuto finally lowers his hand from his face. ] So, this is how I feel about you. [ Presently. ]
This is a joke, Reiner tells himself. He knows it is. He can't let himself be distracted, no matter how sincere Yuuto seems, or how much he'd allowed himself to--trust this man.
Reiner doesn't know what to say. What is there to say? ]
You don't. [He finally says tonelessly.] Don't say things like that.
Especially with how pained that Reiner looks. It's a shame that he's not speaking to Mister Banner. He feels like if he were to do the same that the "other guy" would show his face.
I'm a little young for you. [He says automatically, and Annie might have been proud of such an answer. Still, he doesn't move, his muscles tensing quietly underneath the touch.]
